Greetings, maesa!

Your site *is* found on Google when you search on either your business
name or your website name, so I'm not sure why you are not finding it:

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mi Arte Es Su Arte : Latin American Handcrafted Art, Arte ...
Search: Rings. Earrings. Necklaces. Brooches. Pendants. Sets. Glass. Plaques. Clay.
Pottery. Dough. Masks. Plates. Statuettes. Trays. Vases. Oil on
Canvas. Watercolors.
Ink. ...

Google can show you the following information for this URL:

Show Google's cache of www.mi-arte-es-su-arte.com
Find web pages that are similar to www.mi-arte-es-su-arte.com
Find web pages that link to www.mi-arte-es-su-arte.com
Find web pages that contain the term "www.mi-arte-es-su-arte.com"

www.mi-arte-es-su-arte.com
----------------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------------------------------
"Mi Arte Es Su Arte"
----------------------------------------------------------------------

As far as positioning in Google Search Results, most of the pages
which link to yours contain the text

"Latin Art & Artifacts
Unique Latino art & handcrafted artistic objects."

However, the word "objects" never appears on your home page.

An English-speaking customer searching for handmade or handcrafted
items would most likely use the following search phrases
handmade objects or
handcrafted objects
handmade items or
handcrafted items

rather than
handmade artifacts or
handcrafted artifacts

In English, "artifacts" designates an item that is genuinely old -- as
in archaelogical finds and really old antiques.

Since the Googlebot decides that a site is not only how it describes
itself, but also how other sites describe it when linking to it, I
recommend adding the following phrases
handmade objects
handcrafted objects

to your home page, perhaps in place of
handmade artifacts
handcrafted artifacts

As far as the keywords listed in your site's menu:
"Jewelry Ceramics Paintings Accessories Home Accents Musical
Instruments Sculptures Textiles etc., etc."
these are highly-competitive keywords, because hundreds of thousands
of websites contain them. You are probably better off concentrating on
the
Latin Art handmade objects handcrafted objects Latino Art
keywords.

Usually the Googlebot indexes the <meta> description instead of the
submenu labels, as it has for your site. Try putting a carriage return
before and after your <meta> description in your home page's html file
to see if that will make a difference.

Hi Acersearcher,
You are right, I can find my site, but only if I put the quotes before
and after the name, but if you put just the words it won't come up.
Most people don't use quotes. I added/changed the suggestions you had
for the main page. I will also try the meta changes you had suggested
and stick to get the maoin key words. Also, no matter what key words I
use (e.g. latin art, latin handicrafts, latino art, latin handicrafts,
etc.) on the search engines I don't get anything close to getting my
site, eventhough those words are on my pages. I have my sponsored
sites pretty well "buttoned up" but the free listings I am pretty much
dead in the water. I hope you can help.
I hope you can help.

<< You are right, I can find my site, but only if I put the quotes before
and after the name, but if you put just the words it won't come up. >>

That is because there are a LOT of Spanish-speaking sites out there,
and the words in the name of your business are just *too* common.

Results 1 - 10 of about **906,000** for Mi Arte Es Su Arte
://www.google.com/search?q=Mi+Arte+Es+Su+Arte+

And if you search for Spanish sites only,

Results 1 - 100 of about **1,580,000** Spanish pages for Mi Arte Es Su Arte.

notice that Google realizes that part of your business name is just
"articles" (language parts that aren't really key words):
"The following words are very common and were not included in your search: Es Su."

When there are more than a million and a half pages out there
containing the word "Arte" -- which is what your business name boils
down to -- It's really not realistic to expect to get ranked in Google
for that word. That's why I suggested that you concentrate on the
words
handmade objects handcrafted objects Latino Art Latin Art
(you should probably include the word "Latina" at least once on your
home page as well)
and remember that Latin, Latino, and Art are also very commonly-used
words, seen on millions of websites.

<< Also, no matter what key words I use (e.g. latin art, latin
handicrafts, latino art, latin handicrafts, etc.) on the search
engines I don't get anything close to getting my site, eventhough
those words are on my pages. >>

Note that the words "handicraft" and "handicrafts" *don't* appear on
your home page.

If you can, you should change listings that link to your site from
"Latin Art & Artifacts
Unique Latino art & handcrafted artistic objects."
to
"Latin Art & Latino Objects
Unique handmade Latino art & handcrafted artistic objects."

You will also want to seek out directories of Latin or Latino art and
artists and request links from those websites to yours, such as:

The National Association of Latino Arts & Culture
http://www.nalac.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=page.index&page=directory&action=list&categoryID=2&directoryID=1

Latina and Latino Arts Directory
http://latinoartcommunity.org/community/OnlineCom/ArtistDir/ArtistDir.html

You can search for such sites by using the following Search terms:

Latino Art
://www.google.com/search?q=Latino+Art
Latina Art
://www.google.com/search?q=Latina+Art
Latina Art
://www.google.com/search?q=Latin+Art

Just give it time. As soon as your links show up in Google, it'll
define your position in Google search results - you may end up being
between #100 and #500 on keyword like 'handmade artifacts' at first.
Then it's up to you to get more links and move up in rank.
