I need help with Research to Invalidate a Patent. What this means is
I need to locate specific Articles, Conference Papers, White Papers,
etc. that describe the Idea of the Patent, but PRE-DATE the Patent.

If you Find 2 Articles that are on Target, I can pay more to find more articles

The Patent I need to Invalidate is Patent # 6,321,254. It is a Broad
Patent so I expect you will be able to find "Prior Art" that describes
their invention.

Basically, we need Articles, Web Sites, White Papers, Conference
Papers that Pre-Date the 254 Patent. The Date the Papers have to be
published before is May, 1996.

The Summary of what we need is some Prior Art that describes a
Web/Internet Backup and Remote Access Solution, with a Password.

The Summary of their "Invention" is

A Method and interface for a centralized archiving and de-archiving system

Abstract

An arrangement for filing and retrieving data of a plurality of
mutually remote data sources which are connected to a remote central
file-storage system by a public, wide-area transmission network.
Mutually separable storage fields are maintained in the central
file-storage system by allocating separate storage fields to the data
of each of the remote data sources by a user filter coupled to the
file storage system to ensure that every user can transfer in the
central file system only in his field. An access authorization code
transmitted from a remote data source is compared to an access code
stored in the file-storage system to permit access by a remote data
source to the separate storage fields allocated to the data source
seeking access.

I find it interesting that this patent is essentially the same as what
a server does, anyway. The only difference seems to be that it's over
a public network instead of a private network. IANAL, but a network is
a network, and the distinction between public and private shouldn't be
the whole basis for this claim. In fact, ANYONE who has left a server
without VPN or firewall directly on the Internet has done this.

I seem to be able to retrieve information from BBS's a while back as
well, FidoNet, etc. The information was freely available, as long as
you logged into the BBS. Some Sysops did have storage for certain
people, and I'm certain Sysops had their files stored in abundance of
places, providing their authorization code/password from their
computer to the remote...

This isn't enough, I know. But maybe it's a bit of help to a researcher?

Setup an FTP Account in Windows NT server
Write a batch file to transfer files using FTP
Use windows AT scheduler to schedule the above batch file

How is this any different from the patent above.

FTP , batch file, AT scheduler existed much prior to this patent...

My 2 cents...
