isn't it? Just look at Dawson's Creek- how old was "Dawson" when HE
was playing a 16 year old??

Claire could hook up with Mena Suvari, and I wouldn't holler "foul."
Of course, I'd rather see Claire with almost anyone other than her
icky, manipulative, arrogant former professor, Olivier. I thought it
was hilarious that Olivier ended up being the lapdog of Brenda's mom.
Those two deserve each other.

I can't believe how wrapped up in all this I've become. It reminds me
of my adolescent obsession with a certain soap opera. It's easy to get
hooked!

I completly understand your obbsession w/ SFU.  It is one of the the
best shows on Television.  The character are so real we feel a part of
their lives.  Allan Ball is a Genius.  BTW, Claire never hooked up
with Oliver, Russell did.  I wonder what Freud would say about our
obsession? :-)

I didn't mean to imply that Claire had done the horizontal tango with
that creepazoid Olivier; I meant that I was very glad that she hadn't.

Regarding what Freud would say, I suspect that he would accuse the
show's followers of trying to live vicariously through the eccentric
Fisher family and their friends, as if they are actual people. No
doubt there would be lots of speculation about the viewers' combined
attraction and repulsion toward death, as well as the polyglot of
sexual orientations on the show. Freud would probably be quite
scornful of the show and its followers if asked, but secretly he'd be
sneaking off to watch it. Most of us have our "guilty pleasures." '-)

Hey Pink,

What did you think of this week's episode.  I think they went a little
overboad with the hitchhiker.  The psychological aftermath  should be
interesting

I found the hitchhiker episode to be riveting, but somehow it seemed
as if it belonged in some other series. It was as if something
migrated from "The Sopranos." It was very well acted, but the
over-the-top brutality (to a live person) did not fit with this show's
style, IMHO.

At least the hitchhiker whackaloon didn't shoot that dog. If he'd shot
the dog, I would have been so ticked off that I might not have wanted
to watch this show anymore.

We shall see what happens next week
