WHAT ARE THE TOLERANCE LIMITS IN ALCOHOLIC STRENGTH [%V/V] FOR BOTTLED WHISKY? [ Note; for example if the label in bottled whisky mentions alcoholic strength as 40%v/v or 43% v/v , what are the upper & lower tolerance limits in alcoholic strength allowed especially in US & UK? |

Sorry you got no answer, In the USA, my guess is, any Federal limits are vaugue and/or not inforced. Likely some or most of the individual States have a regulation of some sort. Neil |

I worked for a whisky comapny for nigh on 7 years and there was no upper limit constraints to alcoholic streength (except ones wallet and palate) there is however a legal lower limit ... for it to be designated whisky it has to be at least 40 per cent proof. I trust this helps |
