Names of any software engineers at Orbitz. For 50.00 I want at least 8 - 10 names.

chetta,

I've located the names of the seven senior members of the Orbitz
"Technology Team", which includes their lead information officer and
internet architect, along with the two senior software engineers.
Would this suffice for the answer you're looking for, or are you
interested in junior software engineers at the company?

Dear chetta-ga;

Thank you for allowing me to answer your interesting question. I'm
glad you limited your request to "ANY" sofware engineers and not "all"
of them because the list of software engineers and related staff at
Orbitz is apparently enormous.

?A staff of 60 engineers handles everything--software development,
system maintenance, security, patch management.?

It's also apparently hard to come by - as you probably already know
(and understandably so in these times of higher security and so
forth).

I emailed the company and asked about a directory list of their
software employees. I felt like I got the cold shoulder but the lady I
reached told me she?d forward my request to the ?Staffing Manager?. I
don?t really expect a productive response from the Staffing Manager so
I set off to try and ferret out as many engineers and developers as I
could on my own. Here I have included the names of those I was able to
locate and the reference to the web page where I found the
information. Surprisingly, I was actually able to find more than the
8-10 you asked for so I hope this list works for you:

Alex Zoghlin - Chief Technology Officer

Kevin Malover - Chief Information Officer

Leon Chism - Chief Internet Architect

Roger Liew - Director of Software Engineering

Steve Hoffman - Primary Software Engineer

Michael Wight - Director of Engineering

Russ Kieckhafer - Director of Operations

It's possible that Zoghlin was replaced by Hjelm as Chief Technology
Officer but I couldn't determine this for certain. I do know that
Zoghlin is a charter member of the company and in all likliehood is
still with the company in some significant software capacity if not
Chief of Technology.

I hope this clears up the double CTO title thing.

I was able to find these people on the web, I was hoping for some
lower level (not in management) software engineers.

Please let me know if that is possible

The particular gentlemen do serve in a managment capacity but that is
not ALL they do at Orbitz:

Alex Zoghlin was (and potentially still is) a hands on engineer. He
was responsible for the first programming at Orbitz. Roger Liew, who
is indeed in a magament position, is also a hands on engineer - he
just happens to also be the executive. Kevin Malover, Leon Chism,
Michael Wight and Russ Kieckhafer are listed as part of the
"Technology Team" and while Steve Hoffman is also listed as a team
member he clearly wears the title "Primary Software Engineer".

The other individuals I mentioned Dave Slusher,Benjamin W. Schmitz,
Adam W. Dace, Alexander Bakhmutsky, and Patrick Crosby are not in
management positions but are software engineers. In short, all of
these people, including those listed above, regardless of title, serve
in this capacity. There are of course many others inside and outside
of management that I did not mention because they do not work in the
sofware programming, design or development divisions.

Unless my some chance I get a reply from the "Staffing Manager" I'll
have to assume the company is reluctant to release anymore than is
already publicly available, either for security reasons, privacy
reasons or for competetive secrecy (or all of the above). In the end,
I did find 13 people who work in this capacity for Orbitz in my effort
to fulfill your request for 8-10 of "ANY" software engineers.

Dear chetta,

With all due respect: You should have specified your needs in your
original question. Mindreading is, alas, not one of the many abilities
of Google Answers Researchers.
