There were several peers who might well have been jailed for various
activities prior to WW2.

But most of them seem to have escaped the ignominy of a spell inside.

Even Lord Kylsant who was embroiled in the 'Royal Mail Case' in 1931
was acquitted. According to the Earl Jowitt, a former Lord Chancellor,
it was 'the Law that was at fault'.

Or did they?

Can anyone produce a list of any who were 'disgraced'?

Many thanks

Bryan

Not exactly what you were asking for, but a remarkable collection of "Black Sheep":

"The indexes are compiled from Newspaper reports of court cases,
inquests etc. They are not Court or Police or Coroner's records":

When were these pages last updated ("19/05/06")?

Great link, Freddy, Many thanks.

As you say, 'Not exactly what I was asking' but very intersting.

I was rather afraid that my name might have been listed but 'No Comment'.

You certainly get into places that mere mortals only dream about.

A personal question: how long will it take you to count all your
Numbered Accounts in Zurich?

All the Very Best

Freddy

Quit fooling - it is you!

Even after having been made up for the camera, you are quite unmistakeable.

But I must admit that you are rather handsome.

Have you ever thought of a full-time movie career?

I could be your agent.

All the best

Bryan
