I'm looking for quality paintings or digital images depicting the
Pattern of Amber and the Logrus of Chaos from the books in Roger
Zelazney's Amber Series. These images must be available for free and
in readable format, on the web. Mentions of artwork available in a
book or art gallery will not do.

I would like to create some artwork of my own, but the Pattern and
Logrus are only mentioned in pieces, and in many locations throughout
the ten books of the series. There is no one passage in the book that
describes every arc and turn in each. There has also, to my knowlege,
never been a picture of either in the Amber books, themselves.

In any case, I would much rather reference the shapes if someone else
has already drawn/painted them, rather than go through the trouble to
piece them together from so many convoluted passages.

Hi,

Having read the books, I have a mental image of each, but have never
seen drawings of either. I always envisioned the Pattern much like
the Chartres labyrinth (see
http://www.labyrinthonline.com/chartres.html and
http://www.lessons4living.com/chartres_labyrinth.htm).

Interesting observation... I never envisioned it as circular as that,
but now that you mention it, it does bear some resemblence,
considering the switchbacks that are described... and the fact that it
starts on the outside, but ends in the middle. I'll bet this was
Zelazny's inspiration for the concept of the Pattern. Thanks for your
comments!
