I have been searching this information for sometime without much
success. I am looking for information about the usage of the building
at 1742 Church Street, NW. I do believe the building is about 100
years old. I am also very interested in knowing more about the
architecture style of the building. I am NOT interested in the
performances or plays that have occured there. I would especially
like to know who the building orginal owner was.

When I began to research this, I thought the building was called the
church street theater. Later I learned that the name was changed in
the early 1990's to the Stanislavsky theater. Then from another
resource I found out that the building may have been used at the
Holton Arms school before it moved to Bethesda Maryland. Could this
be possible. As you can see I have found many possible usage idea's
for this building but I am not sure which one's are correct. Can you
help me straighten this out. Any information you could provide me I
would greatly appreciate it.
