I searched every possible combination of Catskills Bob Norton, Bob
Norton Borscht Belt, musical collections, Bob Norton vocalist, etc,
and came up totally empty-handed. My suggestion to you would be to
contact antiques shops in the Borscht Belt area or contact some of the
older hotels and speak with the older employees to see if anyone has
any kind of recording of Norton.

Good luck in your quest.

learning1,

I have not been able to find any direct references to the singer "Bob
Norton".

Since he worked in the Catskills region of New York state, there are
some Catskills historical resources that may be able to help you.

The Catskills Institute
(http://www.brown.edu/Research/Catskills_Institute/index.shtml) has a
research page (http://www.brown.edu/Research/Catskills_Institute/queries.html)
that posts queries from readers. You will need to email your request
about Bob Norton to:

     Phil Brown
     phil_brown@brown.edu

Harvey and Myrna Frommer, Professors of Oral History at Dartmouth
College (http://www.dartmouth.edu/~frommer/), have written a history
of the Catskills entitled:

"It Happened in the Catskills - An Oral History in the Words of
Busboys, Bellhops, Guests, Proprietors, Comedians, Agents, and Others
Who Lived It" http://www.dartmouth.edu/~frommer/catskills.htm

You can the email the Frommers directly at the following addresses:

     harvey.frommer@dartmouth.edu
     myrna.frommer@dartmouth.edu

I hope this helps,
huntsman
