I'm flying out of Atlanta Hartsfield International Airport (ATL) on
Sunday
morning at 11:15 am and want to know if I can catch a Catholic Mass at
the airport chapel beforehand. Can somebody tell me if/when they have
a Catholic Mass there on Sunday mornings? Also, I need to know by
Thursday 7/11 when I have to finalize my plans. After 7/11, please do
not answer.

Hi doctorjaws-ga,

It does not appear as though you will be able to catch a Catholic Mass
at the ATL airport.

The site below lists ALT under "AIRPORTS WITH CHAPEL & CATHOLIC
CHAPLAIN AVAILABLE" only. If you page up from here, you will see
Airports with services on Sundays, Holy Days etc. But, ATL is not
listed amongst these:
Civil Aviation Apostolate
http://www.usccb.org/mrs/pcmr/onmove/airport.htm#g
There is only text on the right side of the above page. So, don’t be
surprised when nothing else shows up. There is a phone number listed
you could probably call for more information.

The site below only lists an Ecumenical Service on Sundays at 11:30 AM
for ATL. Even this would be too late for your purposes. You'll see
this listed next to Worship Services.

It appears you will have to make other arrangements to get your Sunday
Mass obligation in. Perhaps, you can catch a Saturday evening service?

Have a good flight,

thanks for the good research. only thing missing would have been an
alternate suggestion such as a parish near the airport, such as I
found listed at: http://www.masstimes.org

Hi doctorjaws-ga,
Thank you for the great rating. I thought about listing a site with
Mass times near the airport, but I did not want to suggest something
that might cause you to miss your flight.
