I want documentable primary sources on decorated pysanky Easter eggs
prior to 1600. Pictures would be a plus. I understand some have been
found in Germany near Worms and near Opole in Poland but I can't find
any direct publications by an archaeologist.

Dear dov1967,

I managed to find first hints concerning the discovery of remnants of
ancient decorated eggs near Worms. Those painted goose eggs date from
approx. 320 AD, and they were burial objects in a girl's sarcophagus
found at a Germanic-Roman cemetery. The eggs were decorated with
stripes and dots, the fragments are kept by the Worms Municipal Museum
now.

I have not yet been able to locate an archaeologist's publication
mentioning or describing tose eggs. Would you like me and the other
Researchers to concentrate on the Worms eggs?

Regards,
Scriptor

Either or any decorated eggs prior to 1600 but I need to be able to
document it as a primary foot note showing who found it where and when
and what designs where on the eggs. For instance the spots on the
striped egg are green but I don?t know who found it when.
