I bought a matching set of a necklace and earrings a few years ago
from a British Museum store. I've lost the earrings, and would really
like to replace them. The museum doesn't seem to be selling them
anymore, unfortunately, so I'd like to see if there's anywhere else I
can get them. My searches have come up blank. The item number seems to
have been J90070 - they are a replica of a Byzantine set in the
museum, cast in gold over bronze, in a crescent shape with filigree.
The earrings are on hoop-shaped wires to go through the ear. The
little flyer says they are based on a pair of earrings said to have
been found at Lambousa, Cyprus and made about AD 600.
