Dear drbill: Thank you for your question. I have found a list of ICD-9-CM Procedure Codes at the Duke website. Here is the section on Mental Disorders: 5. Hi Dr Bill, Here's a pdf file that prints nicely and is about 19 pages long. Behavioral Health Accepted ICD 9 Codes http://www.odadas.state.oh.us/RFC/BH/BH_Forms/Diag_Cds_ICD9.pdf If you don't already have it on your computer, you need to download the free Adobe Acrobat reader software to view the file. You can get it free at this link. Adobe Acrobat Reader 5 http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html I'm sure you are aware that different payor sources accept different codes. Your payor sources should be willing to provide you with a list of codes which are accepted for reimbursement. Best wishes, fsw |

It seems as if we're mixing terminologies a bit. ICD-9 codes are usually diagnostic codes, while CPTs are procedural codes. If you need a crash coding course, here are a couple sources: http://www.nccbh.org/html/learn/hipaa-procedures.htm http://216.239.35.100/search?q=cache:aDAa_w7d1KgC:www.dphhs.state.mt.us/legal/mental_health_rates.pdf+%22cpt+codes%22+%22mental+health+services%22+2002&hl=en&ie=UTF-8 |
