Dear drbill:

Thank you for your question. I have found a list of ICD-9-CM Procedure
Codes at the Duke website. Here is the section on Mental Disorders:

5. Mental disorders (290-319)
see notes

    * psychoses (290-299)
    * organic psychotic conditions (290-294)
    * other psychoses (295-299)
    * neurotic disorders, personality disorders, and other
nonpsychotic mental disorders (300-316)
* mental retardation (317-319)

Dear drbill:

Sorry for not mentioning this earlier, but to get the codes for any
specific condition, click on the general type of mental disorder in
the linked webpage I have provided in my answer. An extensive list of
all conditions under that type will then be displayed.

Best Regards,
blader-ga

Did you need CPT-4/HCPCS five-digit codes like
this?http://www.wpsic.com/medicare/policy/Illinois/psyc02.html
If so, what type and length of service and for which type clinician?

Hi Dr Bill,

Here's a pdf file that prints nicely and is about 19 pages long.

Behavioral Health Accepted ICD 9 Codes
http://www.odadas.state.oh.us/RFC/BH/BH_Forms/Diag_Cds_ICD9.pdf

If you don't already have it on your computer, you need to download
the free Adobe Acrobat reader software to view the file. You can get
it free at this link.

Adobe Acrobat Reader 5
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

I'm sure you are aware that different payor sources accept different
codes. Your payor sources should be willing to provide you with a list
of codes which are accepted for reimbursement.

Best wishes,
fsw

It seems as if we're mixing terminologies a bit. ICD-9 codes are
usually diagnostic codes, while CPTs are procedural codes. If you
need a crash coding course, here are a couple sources:

You can also keyword search the entire ICD-9 tree online at
