Most tulips come from the Middle-East; and flowers in spring. The
problem is perhaps that it will be somewhat difficult to find pictures
of the species in their natural habitat. Here are some tulips with the
countries (areas) of origin, a researcher can probably dig up some
images:)

Tulipa agenensis - Iran, Turkey

Tulipa aleppensis - Syria, Turkey

Tulipa armena - Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Transcaucasica

Tulipa borszczowii - C. Asia, Iran

Tulipa clusiana - Iran to Afganistan

Tulipa hoogiana - Turkmenistan

Tulipa humilis - Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Azerbaidjan

Tulipa kolpakowskiana - Tien Shan, Afganistan

Tulipa kurdica - Iraq (Kurdistan)

Tulipa kuschkensis - Afganistan, C. Asia

Tulipa lehmanniana - C. Asia, Afganistan, Iraq

Tulipa linifolia - C. Asia, Iran, Afganistan

Tulipa montana - Iran, C. Asia

Tulipa polychroma - Iran, Afganistan

Tulipa primulina - Algeria

Tulipa sharonensis - Israel

Tulipa stapfii - Iran, Iraq

Tulipa systola - Iran

Tulipa urumensis - Iran

Tulipa violacea - Iran, Turkey

The Opium poppy also originates from the middle east, and also a lot
of Iris species.
