Hello. A search for "Chuck McKinnon" in the Tulsa World newspaper archive indicates that Mr McKinnon is a former CANDIDATE for the Oklahoma state legislature. http://www.tulsaworld.com/ArchiveSearch/Search/SearchFormNew.asp From 1995: "A former candidate for mayor and the state Legislature has announced plans to run for the District 4 City Council post. Chuck McKinnon, 35, said he was running for the seat, held by Gary Watts, a Democrat, because "a lot of changes need to be made and I'm willing..." Past Candidate for Mayor Sets Sights on Council Post , 11/14/1995 TULSA WORLD (FINAL HOME EDITION Edition), Page N9 of NEWS There are some more recent articles that mention Mr McKinnon's involvement with mental health issues. Older articles mention him running for mayor. Go to the Tulsa World archive page and search for "chuck mckinnon" (using quotation marks). You'll see him mentioned in about 30 articles. http://www.tulsaworld.com/ArchiveSearch/Search/SearchFormNew.asp I read through some of these articles via a public library database. They mention Mr McKinnon RUNNING for various offices, but not actually holding any public offices. --------- search strategy: tulsa world, "chuck mckinnon" I hope this helps. |

I am a native of Oklahoma. I could find nothing online about a legislator by this name, and I've never heard of him. Where did you learn of this person, and why do you think he is a current or former Oklahoma legislator? |

I met this man recently, in Wisconsin. He told me he had been active in Oklahoma and working for Insurance Parity and mental health. I couldn't find him on line either. Thanks! Could it be another state? |
