I want a copy of PacWars, the old network game from 1991. I am looking for one or more websites that contain information and/or downloads. I am not interested in the PacWars Java game or the PacWars 2 game. |

ooh. don't even ask me how I found this... It's a long search. I found that it ran on 286 processors, so I searched alltheweb 286 pacwars, found pacbet.zip buried in a zip file, well... eventually I found this link: (Google search: pacbet.zip) http://www.braunstein.de/ftp/netware/files/games/ or ftp://ftp.rz.fh-hannover.de/pandora/files/games/ which has pacbet.zip (IPX) and pacwar15.zip (status???) and some other long lost netgames. Good luck and happy gaming to you, if you can get them to work... You may wish to look into a slow program like http://www.simtel.net/product.php%5Bid%5D16525%5Bsekid%5D0%5BSiteID%5Dsimtel.net in order to actually play the game on newer hardware. |
