I would like to find for sale a specific type of teapot with a chrome
cover. The teapot itself should be made of ceramic or glass, and the
cover should go over the teapot and clasp (not just sit over it). A
picture of what I'm looking for can be viewed here:

I would be willing to pay up to $70 for such a teapot including
shipping and would prefer to buy it online.

I'd like to find one that sits on "feet" like those shown in the
photo, but would be willing to consider others as long as the cozy has
a clasp.

Hello, I’ve found one on sale in the UK that can be purchased online,
but the price comes to $90 before shipping.

Thanks. I'd seen the teapot that you're looking at as well, but I'm
really not looking to buy a collector's antique so much as a usful
item. I believe that these are still made somewhere...I just can't
figure out where...that's what I'm hoping for..

Hi msjoanna-ga

A seller on ebay has the chrome cozy (antique) with the ball feet up
for bid until July 13, 13:50 PDT.

This is the cozy only, no teapot.

That is a very handsome teapot indeed. With its simple, classic
design, I would think such a thing would be in high demand, if a
modern manufacturer were to offer it. I would buy one as an art object
even if I were not a tea-drinker.

Here (the fourth item on the page) is a somewhat similar ceramic pot
with an insulated metal cozy, available in either copper or chrome
finish. The copper is $41, and the chrome is $42. In my view, this
does not have the elegant aesthetic appeal of your teapot, but its
functionality is probably identical.

Thanks for the site with the copper/crome covers. I'd also seen this
one, and will probably end up getting it if I can't find the one like
the one I want. I'm pretty sure a restaurant I was in this year was
using teapots like the one I'm looking for. It might have been Mariage
Freres in Paris, but I'm not positive.

http://fantes.com/tea_pots.htm#ceramic

offers a ceramic teapot with a snug-fitting chrome cozy. It's
pictured near the bottom of the page. The teapot and cozy retail for
$29.95, not inclusive of shipping.

Unfortunately, the pot does not have those charming ball feet.
Otherwise, it looks to be what you're hoping for.

Cheers,
Ms. Joseph
