I have 5 different company files of email addresses. In total there are approximately 2500 email addresses. Approx 500 for each company. At the present time they are in text format (Notepad), and each of the five files contain only one company name. What I wish to achieve is a *Card-Shuffling* effect. That is I want to integrate the five separate files into one BIG (*shuffled*)List to obtain a card shuffled effect. Can this be done using Excel? If so how do I do it.If not is there a program I can purchase or download that would do the trick? It is imperative that if I randomly selected a group of say 100 names from the new larger single Mailing List it would contain 20 addresses from each of the 5 different companies. Thank you from: Bellboy |

I'd copy them from notepad into Excel. Then I'd use a random number function to generate a random number for each email address. Then I'd "sort" the email addresses by the random numbers. Then I'd take the top 100 or the lower 100 and do with it as I'd please. Each time I would need a new 100, I'd just regenerate new random numbers. |
