Hi fourplustwo, and thanks for the question.

What a great idea! Iīm sure it will help to make his birthday one to
remember.

There are thousands of individuals/organizations that offer to write
custom poetry, and the standards vary enormously, therefore I would
suggest that you choose a site that gives examples (so you can see the
style of the poet) Below I have listed websites that offer to write
personalized poems ranging from FREE (although see my caution!) to
$80.00. Whilst reviewing the websites I chose sites that not only
gave examples of their work but also gave a professional image and
were websites that were easy to navigate.

FREE. (be *cautious* I had a good look at the website and couldnīt see
any obvious catches, but I wonder WHY they offer this free service)
Gives examples of previous poems
http://www.customverses.com/index.htm

From: $9.95 With Examples
http://www.fayspersonalizedpoetry.net/

Poem emailed: $20 Gives examples of previous poems
http://www.poponpoetry.com/

From $29.95: With Examples
http://www.apoemshop.com/

From: $39.95 . With Examples
http://www.personalizedpoets.com/products.cfm

From: $49.00. With Examples (also has pre-wrotten poetry from $2.99 )
http://poetryboutique.alphalink.com.au/index.htm

From: $80.00. With Examples
http://www.poeticmoments.com/index.html

Below are websites where the price is not fixed ‘per poem’

Call for quote: With Examples
http://www.rhymesforallreasons.net/index.htm

$3.98 per line of poetry: With Examples
http://www.ebobb.com/

Choosing one of the above poets is going to be diffficult and I would
suggest that one way to reduce the list to one is to ask “what happens
if Iīm not happy about the poem you have written” and base your
decision on their response.

Another way to ensure you get exactly the poem you want and that will
be free, is to write it yourself:

Thank you for the question. Please donīt hesitate to rate the answer,
and if you need any other help regarding this question, just ask for a
clarification, and have a *GREAT* birthday together!
