All of my computers running Windows XP Pro, except for my Mac which
uses Panther OS. All my computers will open the site,
http://www.jcpenney.com, except for the computer to which my Motorola
Cable Modem and my Linksys router are connected. It is my main work
horse computer. It will not open this page and I get a message like
this: The Page cannot be diaplayed....Cannot find server or DNS
Error. I have read about a million fixes for pages not displaying but
since this is the only page that I cannot get to open, I don't think
it is in one of the fixes. I have just upgraded my main computer and
it has happened since that. (A new processor, Pentium IV, new
motherboard and 1 Gig ram). Could it be something to do with my
Linsys router Model WRT54G (Wireless-G with four port switch). By the
way, when I type the following in my address bar
(http://www1.jcpenney.com) the JCPenney site will display but I think
that it should display normally - without a number 1 after the "www".

I have searched the web extensively and all of the fixes seem to apply
to internet explorer not opening many pages, not just one so I have
not tried any of the fixes. Microsoft Knowledge has one about IIS but
it WAY OVER MY HEAD. I did put in my XP disk and scanned files for
errors but it did not help.

Good Luck
