Kindly let me know the requirements in order to get a drug license for
retail sale in India (issued by the Indian FDA - Food and Drug
Administration). All questions can be directed to the FDA.
I am thinking about these things in particular:

1.1) Are there any special requirements/minimum regarding how big the
leased area should be such as minimum XX squarememters

1.2) Should the leased office be for a minimum of time such as minimum
3 years in the contract?

1.3) Does there need to be a pharmacist present and/or employed in
order to get/keep the drug license?

1.4) can the drugs be stored in a different location than where the
drug license is registered to? (like, a distribution warehouse)?

1.5) How much does the drug license cost and how much time does it
take to get it issued?

1.6) if a company is based in United Kingdom but has a liasson/branch
office in Mumbai - can a branch office then have such drug license (or
does it need to be a normal "limited liability" company"

1.7.1) is it legal for a drug store to send prescription drugs outside India?

1.7.2) Does prescription drugs need to have a prescription from a
pharmacist or pysician in india in order to be sent out of India
legally?

Best regards,
Johnterryjr

Hi,
Thank you for your kind mail.

1. No, I have already the info regarding those 2 questions so that is
why I cancelled them.

2. I am very interested in gettign answers to this question below. I
believe (with my experience with any government agency or private
company in India) that the chances of gettting a reply thru email is
not so big so the best chances are probably giving them a phonecall
(which is why I hoped that an indian based researcher would answer
this question to keep the phoen cost down).
Of course, you are welcoem to email the FDA about these questions
and see if they respond but they didn't respond to my emails....
