Right now, if I want to drill a hole in a board 11/16" from one edge
and 1 5/8" from the other, then I need to estimate 11/16" and measure
in 1 5/8" from one edge with a T-square. Then I line of the T-square
with that mark on the other edge and measure in 11/16" and then make a
mark. That's the place that for me to drill the hole.

Is there a tool that would allow me to do that all in one step? I was
thinking something like a rafter square (preferably one that had two
descending edges so that I could butt it up against the corner of the
board) with two sliding lasers on each arm of the square. You would
slide one laser out to 11/16" and the other out to 1 5/8" and then
just make a mark where the two lasers intersect.

This could obviously also be done without lasers. I just used that as
an example of how it could be done.

Never mind. I just realized that I could use a speed square that had
length markings along both vertical sides.
