Hello Ged1257,

>Research on LIEBERMAN & GORTZ BINOCULARS, who they were, manufacture
dates, Country of origin etc.<

According to the son of an executive who worked for this company,
?Lieberman and Gortz" was a brand name used exclusively by a popular
mail-order company called Headquarter and General Supplies, based in
Brixton.

?The company flourished between the late 1940s and 1960s, and took
advertising space every week in the press: army surplus trousers,
tents and camping gear... and binoculars.?

The Binoculars were sourced in Germany.

?Strangely, although much of their stuff was pretty naff, the
binoculars were sourced in Germany and were (for the time) very good
indeed.?

I searched for information about Headquarter and General Supplies and
found the following:

?A company called Headquarter and General Supplies of London SE5 -- a
name that many older amateurs will recall as a source of war surplus
equipment. They offered 'War Office Model' binoculars for £3 10s
(£3.50) as well as a wide variety of clothing, including RAF flying
helmets and 'Heavy Gauge WAAF knickers, Air Force Blue.?

Search criteria:
"LIEBERMAN & GORTZ" Binoculars
?Headquarter and General Supplies?

I hope this helps!

Best regards,
Bobbie7

Any ideas as to the source of the manufacturer of the binoculars in
Germany, as there is some suggestion that there may have been a
production line in the far east, more than likely Japan in those days.

Dear Ged1257,

Before I posted your answer, I tried to locate information regarding
the manufacturer of the binoculars in Germany and I did not find
anything. Unfortunately, I did not locate any information regarding
Japan either.

Sincerely,
Bobbie7
