I feel that it is all preference and the cost differential that they have. The Yonex shuttle probably the best overall shuttle as it is very durable and fairly inexpensive. The Carlton shuttle allow fairly cheap, does not have the ability to be manovered as well as the Yonex though. I am not familiar with the Wilson. I hope this will help you with your shuttle cock question Tanner |

Hi, Welcome to the world of badminton, I am playing badminton from the past fifteen years. The best indoor shuttlecock I have come across is YONEX. ONE THING NEED TO KEEP IN MIND IS HOW GOOD YOU ARE. If you are a starter you generally tend to hit a lot of wrong shots or hit with the rim, this tends to break the feather cocks very easily. I would suggest you to get yonex synthetic shuttles with cork bottom instead of plastic bottom, this healps i nthe flight, keeps the rcquet in good shape and also helps the game. When you decide to buy the synthetic one keep in mide there are different weights , heavier the shuttle faster it moves, try to get the one with medium weight so that the shuttle is play a lot longer and also lets you develop your game. One you are extrmely confident shift to feather shuttles. One trick to keep the shuttle feathers from breaking easily is to dip the feather par of shuttle in water (upto the thread for a couple of second and let it dry before using it, this makes the shuttle a lot more reilient to bad shots. I hope this helps you, have fun playing. (By the way did u know that in a well fought game of badminton a player travels as much s 3 miles!!!!) Cheers! |

I think jackal7 has given a very nice answer to the question and i would like to add a few tips that, you tend to play nicely along with the synthetic shuttle soon, but the same quality in accuracy and judgement takes a while with the feather shuttle. So i would advice you have some control over the feather shuttle too, coz that is the real game in the long run. thanks, have a wonderful time playing the game. |
