Now I am told that my shoes are being seized by US Customs. I would like to make a business out of importing the shoes but I need to know what i need to do to avoid US Customs from seizing my import? |

Hello, Footwear importing is highly technical and strict, there are also country of origin and may be trademark issues, For this reason I would suggest- 1. Locate the U.S. Customs port office closest to you, contact them and ask to set-up a half-hour face-to-face meeting with someone regarding shoe imports. You may also find useful information and do searches on the U.S. Customs website- www.customs.gov for more detailed information on footwear importing. 2. Contact a Customhouse broker or consult with someone who holds a U.S. Customhouse broker's license and they may advise you of the regulations regarding importing. These services are available for a fee. |
