I must emphatically advise against this. What you are planning to do is commonly considered as spamming. Placing commercial ads in newsgroups is detested by Usenet users, placing commerical ads in bulletin boards is usually against the individual forum rules, and sending out unsolicited commercial e-mails is even illegal. Don't do it. It's a very bad idea. You'd only ruin the reputation of your product. Scriptor |

Thanks for your concern, I understand what you are talking about. I'll be looking for the "for sale" or "classified-ads" section of the BBS or Newsgroup. The college that I graduated from has a "for sale" newsgroup, and students would post all kind of ads there. I don't think this is spamming as long as I don't send unsolicited e-mails to personal address. B. Regards, |

Digitalsupplier -- You might be better off chasing down college newspapers with online presence, like this one at Purdue University: Purdue Exponent Online http://www.purdueexponent.org/ At my daughter's university the BBS is a private-registration only service. Best regards, Omnivorous-GA |

Thank you Omnivorous, I didn't know that those BBS would be private-registration only. I'll try to contact some student associations of those universities to find out more. |
