Hi,

Please find the web page, which suits your needs,

CD-ROM Marketing

The interactive CD-ROM has proven to be an effective, enduring,
economical and powerful media to replace or supplement other forms of
promotion. Operated in a Personal Computer, the CD-ROM provides the
opportunity to display compelling content, including Full-Motion
Video, Digital Sound, Multimedia, Animation, Rich Graphics, extensive
Data, Text and Interactivity. Additionally, the medium provides a link
to the Internet, inherently maintaining the ability to launch a web
browser and direct the user to a designated web site, with the click
of a mouse. This is a powerful tool in establishing a connection with
a targeted market. InBox can also provide the ability to automatically
update and track usage of CD?s that have been distributed using
UpDisc? Technology.

Studies have shown that the CD-ROM, and particularly the Shaped CD,
maintains a very high perceived value and response rate.

Marketing with interactive CD-ROM's combines all the strengths of
television marketing (usually limited to 30-60 seconds), expands the
length and impact of your commercial to five or six minutes and
delivers it directly to your targeted market. CD-ROM marketing enables
a business to deliver more information and with greater potential for
creativity, demonstrations testimonials, comparisons and emphasis on
benefits. The response rate is easily and accurately tracked. The
bottom line? marketing with the Computer Business Card generates huge
profits for both small and large-scale companies.

The math is simple. Run traditional television or print ads, spend a
fortune and be happy to hit a negligible and constantly shrinking
percentage of your targeted demographic. Or, produce a short form
video, add all the information one could hope to learn, add
interactive features and link it to your website, package it all on a
CD-ROM and mail or hand it directly to your intended audience-often
for less than a buck a copy-hitting 100% of your targeted demographic.
It should be no surprise that response rates are as high as 60%* when
using CD- ROM's in a direct video marketing campaign vs. 2-3% for
printed direct mail. When executed properly, this revolutionary
approach to marketing means that you can focus on your customer, not
your market.

Why marketing with the CD Card works:

Very cost effective to produce.
Produces high conversion rates and high ROI.
Combines sight, sound, motion, and emotion to motivate consumer or
business action (multi-sensory message delivery). Stimulates and
expedites the buying decision.
Entertains, informs, sets a mood, motivates, educates (answers
questions before they are asked), creates a positive impression and
evokes an emotional response.
Provides more time to deliver a message (anywhere from 1 to 180
minutes). Whether it is a brief commercial, an infomercial, or even a
complete training seminar. The user can view the presentation at a
time that best suits their own schedule.
Does what no other medium can do: product demonstrations, better
presentation of benefits, stronger testimonials, visual tours, etc.
90% of all computers have CD- ROM capabilities.
90% of presentations received are watched. 64% of those are seen with
more than one person present.*
85% of all CD-ROM presentations are viewed the same day they receive it.*
There is a 50% increase in memory retention with video.*
Can sell your product and/or service 24 hours a day, seven days a
week, 365 days a year.

Hi epedia, This is not exactly what I'm looking for. The marketing
verbage you copied me on refers to "studies have proven" the
effectiveness . . . What I am after is the SOURCE study a claim like
this is based on.
