I have a lot of computer equipment that I am trying to get rid of in a
timely manner (approximately 20,000 lbs.). I have two questions.
First, what electronic scrap companies will accept my equipment
within a 200 mile radius of where I live? I am in Hope, Arkansas (71801). Most
likely areas would be Little Rock, AR, Dallas, TX, Ft. Worth, TX, or
Shreveport, LA. Second, what is the going rate for electronic scrap?
I am looking for a "price per pound". Also, it is my understanding
that the price per pound could depend on "low" and "high" grade.

Hi deanna,
Could you give us an idea of what type of equipment you've got? What
age, as triptych asks; what type of machine, e.g., mainframe
equipment, microcomputers, monitors, etc.; and the approximate
percentage of your lot that is comprised of each type? It doesn't have
to be terribly specific, but the more detail the better: it might be
helpful in getting correct quotes for scrap rates.
