Question ID: 380150
I need data sets of GDP, Unemployment and Inflation for the last 5
years for the following 20 countries:

Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India,
Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, South Korea,
Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States.

The data sets should be monthly.

In sum, there will be a total of 60 data sets. (Three 5-year data-sets
for 20 countries)

You do not have to post an excel sheet. Even an URL which provides
this content will be just fine.

Hi neutral,
Would yearly data up to 2003 be enough? I wasn't able to find monthly
data for GDP for any of the countries (the best I found is quarterly).
Also, in the database I found, unemployment and inflation data is
available monthly for some of the countries you mention, but yearly
for others.

Please tell me if this would be enough, or if you prefer to leave the
question open to another Researcher who might have better access to
economic databases.

Best regards,
elmarto

Dear elmarto,

Data up to 2003 is ok IF it includes the year 2003.

Quarterly GDP data is fine.

However, I would prefer monthly data for unemployment and inflation.

If you have anything "close" to the description above, still may be
fine, but again, it should be almost like that.

Thanks!

Hi neutral,
Yes, data up to 2003 includes 2003. I can get quarterly GDP data for
all hte countries you mention. However, regarding inflation and
unemployment it will be more difficult. I might be able to get monthly
data of these series for some of the countries, but for others it will
definitely quarterly or even yearly data. For example, I can tell you
that here in Argentina, the unemployment survey is done only twice a
year, and so is the case for some of the other countries in your list.
If this is OK, please let me know.

Best wishes,
elmarto

Dear elmarto,

"IF" the survey is not done monthly on the particular country (or
countries), then it is OK.

Just go ahead.

Thanks.
