I received several of these journals as a gift and I believe they were
purchaed in San Francisco's Chinatown. They are hardbound, just over 8
and a quarter inches in length and six and a half inches wide. (I have
also seen them longer, almost legal-sized) The spine is red with an
inch of red continuing on the front and back cover. The rest of the
front and back is black with red triangular corners on the four outer
edges. There are approx. 145 off-white lined pages inside. Also inside
on the back at the bottom is a stamped logo with a picture of an eagle
that says "Flying Eagle Made in China T3125." Please help me find out
where I can purchase these, preferably in the U.S. I've tried
searching on the internet -- to no avail.

Hi farala,

Take a look at the first item on the list here:

Is this what you are looking for?

Hi Rainbow,
Thanks so much for that link. Yes, yes, yes -- it looks exactly like
the notebooks I'm looking for. However, it does appear as though
that's a wholesale company, but I will follow up by contacting them to
find out for sure if that's the case. At least this is a lead and I'm
very grateful.
warmest regards
farala

Hi farala,

I'm happy these are the ones you are looking for.

Since they are wholesalers and only a lead, I can post the above
information as an official answer, after you have decreased the price
of the question accordingly, if you want.

Please let me know your views.

Best wishes,
Rainbow

Hi Rainbow,
This is my first foray into the 'google questions and answers' world
and I'm already confused. Are you the researcher? I have contacted the
company but am waiting on a response. If you post my earlier
clarification as a response does that mean that there is no more
research done? or that someone else might not have the opportunity to
respond? I'd really prefer to purchase these stateside if possible.
Thanks
Farala

Hi farala,

Welcome to Google Answers, and yes, I am a researcher. :)

Rainbow,
I haven't heard back from the Australian company that appeared to have
the closest match to what I am looking for. I appreciate the
additional information you provided but none of those notebooks come
close to what I'm looking for. Do you think there is a certain type of
store in Chinatown that would carry them?
Thanks
Farala

Hi farala,

I have carried out more searches for this notebook, but have not been
able to find any other than the ones I already posted for you.

Hopefully another researcher will have better luck.

Rainbow

Rainbow,
I finally received a response from the Australian company that you
found which initially appeared to have the note books I am searching
for. I also tried calling some stores in San Franciso's Chinatown with
no luck. At any rate here's the response that I got from the company
in Australia. Since I'm back where I started can we close this at $10?
best regards,
Farala

Dear Sharon,
Thank you for your email
Unfortunately we cannot sell direct and do not sell
outside Australia.
I do not think these could have been our books.
Good luck
Sue

Hi farala,

I'm sorry the Australian company was not able to provide you with the notebooks.

Your offer to close this question for $10 is very generous, but not
necessary. Since I was not able to direct you to a store which sells
these notebooks, I don't expect to be paid.

I truly appreciate the offer though.

Best regards,
Rainbow
