URGENT! The World Children's Choir needs by Auugst 3, 2004 1) the
Arabic text and/or 2) transliteration/phonetic version of the Arabic
lyrics of a song sung by Fairouz from the play "Natouret El Mafateeh"
(Guardian of the Keys). One of our singers (Marwa, 10 year old Muslim
girl, born in and resides in US) wants to perform this song at the
United Nations the third week of August and we need the text very
quickly. The prayer begins (English version): My Home is your Place,
I have no where else to go, I called upon you so much, That the
horizon became wider. I waited for you at my door and at every door.

I have found a two-minute audio clip, sung in Arabic, of what I am
virtually certain is the song you are after. I have also found a
source for a CD that contains the performance, along with complete
contact information for this U.S. online dealer specializing in
Arabic-language music.
This might be useful to you in two ways. First, the dealer might be
willing and able to tell you whether the CD contains printed lyrics to
the song. Or, failing that, a recording of this slow-tempo piece
might allow your young singer (or a friend/relative) to transcribe the
lyrics.
Please let me know using the "Question Clarification" feature whether
this information would be a satisfactory answer to your question.
(Google researchers are not allowed to communicate privately by e-mail
with customers.)
I look forward to your clarification.
