Question ID: 380906
I need a macro that triggers when value a is updated in a cell in
excel, and the macro takes that value and includes it an update
statement to a sql server database.

something like cell has value 10, it is changed to 6 and immnediately
the macro fires an update to a database such as "update table xxx set
aaaa = 6 where" etc,etc,

The answer would be be a spreadhseet with macro module in, where I
would have to chnage the code to give the correct update statement but
was otherwise complete

Hi Phil,

This forum cannot support sending of files; all answers must be in
plain text. Would a code snippet be an acceptable answer? You would be
able to cut and paste this into your spreadsheet for immediate use.

I would accept text snippet and clear instructions on how to insert it in workbook,
specifically for excel for xp.
