I just wanted to point to this
http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=268512 answer, which
has absolutely nothing to do with this question, except for the
comment about reviews on
products(http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,4149,225861,00.asp), which is
old and doesn't contain Dameware.
One of the things I noticed about the 268512 answer was the entries
about remote service management. I use http://www.gfi.com/lannetscan
to enumerate the equipment I have on my network, and use compmgmt.msc
to manage services on PC's remotely. Since that is such a big deal
with these products, I just wanted to indicate that it is possible to
do many things with what's already included in the box to manage
computers remotely.
OK, I know that you want to pay a lot for the review of the product
comparison, and maybe someone will take you up on the offer. But,
consider this: regardless of the featureset and security differences
of the two products, it still comes down to what you want to use and
how much you want to purchase. Added features aren't worth anything if
you don't use them. What gets me is that the result of this question
is essentially an advertisement for one product over the other, which
I would *guess* is a violation of the intentions of the terms of
service:
"Google does not endorse, and expressly disclaims liability for any
product, manufacturer, distributor, service or service provider
mentioned or any opinion expressed in answers or comments."
