My wife and I are thinking about driving our car from the United
States to Honduras in February 2005. We're interested in information
about the following:
* Visa Requirements and other paperwork we need to plan for in advance
* Route Suggestions - starting from the US-Mexican border to La Ceiba, Honduras
* Travel Advice - safety, equipment to carry, helpful resources, etc.

I've done a little web research and came across the following very helpful page:

A good answer would be to point out any information in the Honduweb
page that has changed since 1996, and to supplement with other
info/recommendations you come across.

I should add that we plan to live in Honduras for at least a year and
will want to license our car once there. We plan to sell the car there
at the end of our stay. Our car is a 1988 Toyota wagon.
