update my software. ICM.DIV3 When I goto realone's site they say this
udate is not available. Also I have a couple of downloaded movies that
only have audio but no video and no errors come up.

What type of movies are they? MPEGs or AVIs or something different?
Have you tried using Windows Media Player (the most recent version) to
view them?

Have you installed the DivX codec? If not, you can download it here:

download the latest version of DivX at

http://download.divx.com/divx/DivXPro502GAINBundle.exe

Once installed, U can create (encode) and view (decode) movies using
the DivX encoder. Its a Mpeg4 codec. The compression ratio vs quality
is a lot better than any pre-2000 codec.

The videos you have that have only audio, are they QuickTime movies?
(.mov)

If so, the same thing happens to me. I've found two things that help.
One is to place another window slightly on top of the movie. Even the
tiniest bit will work. The other is to change the viewing size.
Switching to Double Size will make the movie viewable. Sometimes you
can switch back to regular size, and it will run ok, sometimes you
have to leave it at double size.

Good Luck

RealOne was looking for .DIV3 plug in, so I suspect that it was a DiVX
file.
Instead of using the newer DiVX 5 codecs , you might want to install
DiVX 3 codecs, then install DiVX 4 codecs (answering NO when it offers
to play DiVX 3 movie using 4 codecs).

These and more about DiVX (software, codecs, etc), can be found at:
http://www.divx-digest.com/software/index.html

DiVX 3 URL:

DiVX 4 URL:

It is missing the DivX codec, I would reccomend downloading the the
"Nimo Codec Pack from http://www.btinternet.com/~nimosiro/

This pack has every codec you could ever need for viewing downloaded
movies including the latest version of the DivX codec (The one you're
missing).
