I'm a programming newbie who's trying to set up a site for my wife's business (selling her meditation CDs in the German speaking market). I am using Yahoo sitebuilder with the intention of posting the site on the German Yahoo marketplace, but I've been reading various postings on Google answers warning about these editors' propensity to produce junky HTML that the search engines might/will choke on and ignore (i.e. FrontPage). Is there a good editor, usuable by a relative neophyte, with a GUI interface that creates clean HTML acceptable to multiple browsers and search spiders? |

Docjon -- I use Sausage Software's HotDog HTML editor (there are a couple of versions): http://www.sausage.com/products.html Highly recommended, very intuitive. That said, if you're familiar with HTML you could just use your word processor! Best regards, Omnivorous-GA |

You might like Amaya. Created by WC3 it's a browser and code editor, all in one. Almost needless to say, since it's a product of the code standards people, it writes clean, W3C compliant code. It's open source, i.e. free. Amaya Web Browser/Editor http://www.w3.org/Amaya/ ---l |
