Question ID: 381541
I saw a Budweiser commercial on TV about a year ago that was a
'menagerie' of portions of different rock songs and visual clips.
Every two or three seconds, it would go into a different sound/visual
clip and the whole thing is pieced together in an insanely brilliant
manner. I only saw it once, and it is simply the most awesome thing I
have ever seen on a television screen, without exaggeration. I am
looking for a *.wmv or Real Player file that has the commercial with
both picture and sound. I looked for it a year ago for about an hour,
and could not find even the slightest semblance of anything related to
it or even mentioning it. If you find it, you will not only get my
$10, but one of the coolest commercials you've ever seen. I cannot
imagine why they didn't show this commercial more often when it came
out.

I'm just writing this clarification so you'll get an email to let you
know to come back (I'm not sure if G.A. sends out emails when only
comments are made) . . .

It appears robynyc may have found your commercial.

robynyc-ga, THANK YOU!!! You have found my commercial, but it's not
the Coors one, it is indeed a Budweiser commercial as I remembered,
the Budweiser/True Music commercial featuring a song by Daft Punk. It
seems, however, that I am unable to download it from the website,
www.deepmix.com. If you are able to download the video, or have it
already, and you can email it me, I'd love to pay you $10 for it, as I
originally promised. Apparently, deepmusic.com does not let people
download their commercial spots.

Try this, but you need a subscription, but maybe you can narrow it down to a name.

Thanks for your comment shimmy. I scrolled down that list and saw two
names that could be it ("Tune Out" or "Flashback"), but I can't fork
out $99.95 to subscribe to that website, especially considering that
there is a good chance the commercial might not even be there.

If anyone reading this has a subscription to that website, I'd be glad
to pay you $10 for sending me the video I described above, if that
website allows you to download the commercials.

It's a Coors Light commercial, not Budweiser (so much for the
effectiveness of advertising brands!). I think the ad you want is
called "Rock On", produced by Foote Cone & Belding for Coors. The
music was mixed by "Deepmix", and you can find the ad on their web
site (QuickTime format) www.deepmix.com.
The same group/agency/and client combined for my favorite ad, "Here's
to Women" a rock montage of women in music biz using a remix of Tom
Jone's "She's A Lady".
If you have any trouble with getting the ads, I have them downloaded
and could email them to you, just comment back.
enjoy

Yeah, ilanjdor, I grabbed that Daft Punk spot too. It's funny that
based on your description of the ad I thought one thing and you meant
another but they were both done by the same agency! Where do want me
to send it? Give the $10 bucks to your favorite charity.
