I am looking for peer reviewed and/or scholarly articles and
manuscrips on management and employee satisfacton in businesses. I am
trying to prove that effective and fair management means profitable
business, longer retention of staff and higher employee satisfaction.
I will also accept studies that  management turnover means, less
profitable business, poor employee maoral, unstable work force etc..

Likely you and Terry Bacon are correct, however many businesses are
succeeding inspite of angry employees and rare repeat business, so
being nice is one of many factors, few of which are essential to long
term success. Being nice can be a large opperating cost.  Neil
