According to Golden Capital Securities, there are 200,000 traditional
x-ray rooms in North America.

?With approximately 200,000 traditional x-ray rooms in North America,
the potential market for retrofitable technology is estimated to be
$10 to $20 Billion US over the next ten years.?

There are 45,000 operating theatres in the United States.

?With 45,000 operating theatres in the US alone, the potential of the
product is estimated at up to $2bn (£1.3bn). According to surveys,
awareness occurs in 1 per cent of patients undergoing general
anaesthesia. In the US, 200,000 patients yearly wake up during
operations.?

According to a J.M. Dutton & Associates Research Report from March
2004 there are 45,000 operating rooms in the US.

?The general anesthesia market is the most logical first market for
LOC monitors, since the OR is where patients are perceived to receive
the highest clinical benefit combined with, assumedly, the highest
economic advantage. We estimate an installed base of approximately
45,000 operating rooms in the US, which translates into a potential
capital equipment market for Physiometrix ofapproximately $2 billion.
Additionally, assuming approximately 18 million surgeries in the US
annually and an average revenue toPhysiometrix of approximately $7.50
per disposable, we estimate an annual potential disposable market of
approximately $135 million.?
