You can get access to the US News and World Report rankings here:
http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/college/tools/brief/cosearch_advanced_brief.php

To get access to the premium edition, you can access it here:
http://www.usnews.com/usnews/store/products/prod_bestcollegepoe2004.htm

Is this what you were looking for, or is there a specific
article/version that you are looking for? If so, do you have any idea
when it was published?

No, this is not what I am looking for. I am familiar with the US News
and World Report rankings for schools (liberal arts, universities,
doctorate etc.), but when at the U of Delaware today, they said that
their Hospitality program ranked 7th as reported by US News and World
Rerport in a Journal specifically devoted to Tourism and ?. I had
seen reference to this article before. Apparently, Cornell, which has
the "best" program, declined to participate in this survey. What I
ultimately want to know is what are the schools offering programs in
Hotel, Hospitality, Restaurant etc. that are ranked between Cornell
and the U of Delaware, according to this US News and World Report
Article.

And, no, I do not know the date of ther article or the precise journal name.

Thanks!

Hi opcindy,

The journal that has the article you are looking for is the Journal of
Hospitality and Tourism Education, published by the Council on Hotel,
Restaurant and Institutional Education.

"The University of Delaware's Department of Hotel, Restaurant and
Institutional Management (HRIM) has been ranked 7th in the top 25
hospitality programs in the country, tied with the University of
Massachusetts-Amherst, one of the oldest and most established programs
in the country and ahead of many more well-known programs, according
to an article in the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Education ,
published by the Council on Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional
Education."

"UD?s Department of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management was
ranked seventh among the top 25 hospitality programs in the country,
tying with one of the oldest such programs in the nation and placing
ahead of many well-known programs. The survey, published in 2002 in
the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Education, gave UD high marks
for its faculty, curriculum and students..."

"UD tied for seventh with the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, one
of the oldest and most established programs in the country. Overall
Purdue University was first, followed by California Polytechnic
University, Pomona."

I do not have access to this journal so I am unable to provide the
remaining universities and their ranks.

This site may be of help to you.

opcindy --

Here's a link to a 2002 survey published in the same journal that
rainbow-ga cites. While it is apparently not the study that is
described in that comment, it might be of some use to you. This study
ranks the University of Delaware hospitality program as tied for 10th
in overall quality (also with U. Mass-Amherst):
