Anyone know if I can sync two different PDAs (both ASUS A716s) to same
PC? The idea would be to have two sync sets, one with my stuff, the
other with the stuff my wife uses.

Thanks,

Tom

Under Windows 2000 or Windows XP, it's easy enough, as long as you set
up different logins on your computer. You can do the same thing with
Windows 9x, but you have to turn on user profiles.

Most sync software makes sure that it syncs with the name it started
to sync with. Palm OS (not what you're using) syncs to different named
folders, but Windows CE may sync differently.

It may be possible to set up different Outlook profiles on one Windows
user and make the sync software work with each outlook profile, but
you'll be happier if you sync with your own logon.

If both PDA's use Windows CE and ActiveSync, you can sync both without
using different login information. You just need to make sure you set
up a different partnership name for each device when you plug it in
and ActiveSync detects it.

Hello, Silver Shadow,

Thank you. I need a bit of clarification. I'm not sure what
'partnership name' means. Is that something I select when I install
Active Sync on my PC?

Do I need different device names, like Toms and Bettys?

Will I have two Active Sync Folders on my desktop - one for my stuff
and the other for Bettys?

Thanks a lot.

Tom
