can i save a copy my MSN favorites to a fle on my computer and/or

Hello mrosey43-ga,

It seems that there is no Microsoft supported way of exporting MSN
Favorites. I did find some methods that should allow you to export
your MSN Favorites, and hopefully one of them will work for you.

You probably should only have to use one of these methods, but if it
does not work for you, you can move on to try the second one.

METHOD #1

I found a program called Bookmark Buddy that will allow you to export
your MSN Favorites file. It comes with a fully functional 30 day
trial. You can read more about this program here:

METHOD #2:

Before you start, you should download and install this XML update from
Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=3144b72b-b4f2-46da-b4b6-c5d7485f2b42&displaylang=en

Next, you will want to download and install the MSN Favorites Export
Toolkit from MainSoft. You can find it towards the bottom of this
page: http://www.mainsoft.fr/freeware_en.htm

What this program will do is create a netscape favorites file that you
should be able to import into Internet Explorer or whatever popular
browser you are using.

i tried what you suggest and it did not work for me. maybe i did
something wrong ,not to likely. Msn support told me that Msn favorites
are stored on Msn server not on my HD.i searched for "favorites.xml"
on my HD including subfolders and hidden folders and it is not there.

sorry to tell uyou all but your wrong.

the MSN Fav. is mostly saved on the server yet... if u find the files:

favorites.xml
   
favthumb.dbx
   
favcache.xml
 
 and copy them it will save the fav list in MSN.

they are located - C:\WINDOWS\Application
Data\MSN6\UserData\{F18828C0-4ACD-01C4-0100-0000F907654A}

I am not a Goggle researcher yet I do work work for MSN.

if anyone should be payed for this i should.. lol
