Would you kindly have a part number for the researchers to better answer your question? Although I would easily say that Microsoft Word is probably as capable as any other software, as long as you have dimensions of the label... Are the labels on letter size sheets, or a continuous roll of one? |

From: http://www.shallowsky.com/software/cdplugins/ It turns out that, at least in GIMP 2.0, there's already a script-fu to do this! Xtns->Script-fu->Logos->Text Circle... Get The Gimp: www.gimp.org http://www2.arnes.si/~sopjsimo/gimp/stable.html (Windows) The Gimp is a GPL/Free Software product. In some circles (ahem) it is considered all-powerful. That said, it's not necessarily easy to get started. You need to install GTK first, then install The Gimp. The Gimp opens in about 3-4 individual dialog boxes at once. You'll want to create a new document, then use the path above to create your text file. This is not automatic. However, once you figure out where to print on your label, and the radius you need, you should save your template so you only have to change the wording. |

Crythias-ga: The script-fu is made up to work with full sized CD Labels. I am interested only in the "hub label". The clear area devoid of media that is common to both DVD and CD's. The Gaylord labels come 30 per sheet and are only 1.5" in diameter, quite small, therefore needing propriatery software of some sort in order to print on them. The gimp v2.0 is not going to help in this I'm afraid. |

You have the ability to choose your radius, so you can select any size you want. The default 80 is about 1.4" radius, so setting the script-fu radius to 40 gives you a 1.4" diameter. Adjust how you like. I know this 'cause I have the Gimp installed and just tried it. The next thing is just placing that generated text on the page where you want it. |

Just to be clear, I am talking about the Xtns->Script-fu->Logos->Text Circle, not anything else that was described from the first link. |
