Statement of Purpose
My purpose for applying the Doctoral program is to expand on my
existing knowledge and to create additional opportunities for myself
in the future. I believe that Doctoral program will prepare me for a
successful and challenging career in the education area.
I have been teaching in Taiwan for almost three years now.  I have
taught in high school, college, and cram school.  After a complete
thought, I finally decided to continue my teaching career in adult
learning . In order to give students more knowledge and information, I
believe that pursuing a higher degree is necessary.  Also, through the
research, I can use the research result to help students in learning.
Since I am now teaching in the college, I can use my students as
resources to do the research work. I strongly feel that Doctor of
Education program at University of xxx is a highly structured program
because it provides the right balance between theory and practice.
Your program not only provides taught program which will gave me more
knowledge in education area, but also provides me great environment
for research. I believe your school is the best choice for my Doctoral
degree.
English has become one of the requirements for many positions in most
companies. Therefore, teaching college students how to use English in
work field is now very important task for college English teachers.  I
found personality has a great influence in their English learning. 
Therefore, according to their personality, to design a good learning
program will help students in English learning.  Good designed program
not  only can improve their English abilities, but also it can
increase their interest in learning.
I hope my background and qualifications are found suitable for
admission to Doctor of Education program.
