I work mostly with an external keyboard. Once a week or so my keyboard
will begin to act as if other keys are being pressed with it. All
typing becomes capital and which can be fixed by using caps lock to
reverse it but in either method I always get '>' and never '.'
If I switch to using the built-in keyboard the problem remains. It
goes away with reboot. The problem is also not application specific.
Dell laptop, XP.

Also the touchpad gets a delay before it can be used if I use it with
the keyboard. If I use the touchpad continuosly there is no delay.
Any ideas?
