Question ID: 382806
I have 2 business ideas(web based) that I am very confident will be a
success. However, I need people who are willing to provide their
services/expertise in return for a percentage of sales or royalties
since I have virtually no money to pay the rediculous costs. I need
someone for designing and web design, but again, I want to provide
either percentage or royalties as payment. Can you help?

For clarification, I am looking for a website that caters to this
service. Sort of like an ELance.com or Guru.com but much more cheaper
rates and/or bartering is accepted.

there was an article in last month's wired magazine about 2/3 to the
back about a tele-commuting programmer who for the last year or so had
secretly sublet his responsibilities to an individual in india for a
fraction of his pay.
i personally thought it was very interesting. and entertaining!

That's true, people in India do charge much less than people in the
US, which is why I see so many business going to this country for
employees. Compaq and AOL are two major companies that have done so.
Next time you call one of these companies for technical support, I can
almost bet you'll be speaking to someone in India. I've used people
in India twice in the past 3yrs for web design. The only problem is
keeping in touch with them. Apparently, they have certain time limits
on the internet(they could be bluffing), so at times they are
unavailable for a while. I couldn't call because it was too
expensive, but nowadays, that shouldn't be a problem. Then there is a
matter ofpaying them. I finally decided to use Western Union, but
some of them already have American bank accounts. Thanks for the
response though.
