Ok, this is a question that has been bothering me for YEARS. You have NO IDEA how much this bothers me. First of all, let me explain the story behind this burning question. A few years ago, perhaps longer, i heard/read/saw/SOMETHING the name Niels T. Wolfe. I'm pretty sure that is the spelling, but it could be slightly different. (Perhaps, Neals, Wolf, etc...) Then, one day, i dont really remember when, but it popped into my head. At first, i was just like: Hmmm...im sure i will find out eventually. As time has passed, it has gotten increasingly annoying as to who he (or she?) really is. He might be a made-up character (like in a movie or something or a person in a videogame or the credits) but i KNOW that someone out there MUST know who/what/whatever he/she/it is! SOMEONE PLEASE FIND OUT WHO THIS IS. |

Could it be: Both Penn State graduates, Kreichbaum's grandsons Neil T. Wolfe, 26, Connelsville, and Allen D. Wolfe, 23, Muir, may not have to worry about the draft. http://archives.pottsville.com/archives/2001/Sep/15/E491297A.htm |

Other researchers: I have checked IMDB for every Wolf and Wolfe - nothing there. |

Could you be thinking of Niels 't Hooft? If you heard the name spoken, this could easily sound like "Niels T. Wolfe." Niels 't Hooft is a rather famous name in video game circles, particularly in relation to Nintendo games. He created the original "Zelda Headquarters" Web site, and has written numerous reviews of Nintendo games in both Dutch and English. |

Since it was a few years ago you saw the name, my guess is it's a combination of an old thought and new news (per thx1138's comment) -- it could be the older name you saw was Nero Wolfe, the infamous private investigator who worked in New York in the 1950s (and onward) with his sidekick Archie Goodwin and his faithful chef Fritz. He was a character developed by Rex Stout, but continued on by another author (who's name escapes me at the moment) after his death. He's been reanimated in the tv series Nero Wolfe on A&E. http://www.aande.com/tv/shows/nerowolfe/ http://www.nerowolfe.org/ is the official fan site. And if it's not the right name, Mr. Wolfe is a good read, regardless. :) zerocattle-ga |

zerocattle-ga, The author who continued the Wolfe series after Rex Stout's death is Robert Goldsborough. Just a flight of fancy... Perhaps Nero Wolfe's middle name (which, I think, was never given in any of the stories or novels) was the same as Rex Stout's middle name: Todhunter. Hence, Nero T. Wolfe? |

Right! Thank you, pinkfreud-ga! I was wondering that myself -- I haven't seen any reference to his middle name, but I have a vague recollection from a story I read years ago where it came up. Can't for the life of me remember the storyline, though. I don't think it was revealed, only hinted at (that a character knew this private information). I hope molszewski-ga comes by soon to put this matter to rest so someone can answer the question, but I love a good Nero story! :) zerocattle-ga |

Nero Wolf is exactly the thought that popped into mind when I read the question. I suspect that this is unanswerable. If this is a real person we can't identify and locate him anyway by google rules. If not, we have no context or definate spelling so no one, including the questioner, will know if we have found the right answer. |

Dear molszewski, An idea from left field... Could you be thinking of de Wolfe, composition credit for many Monty Python productions (and games)? Regards, |

Could it be Alexander T. Wolf of three little pigs fame, who tells the story from HIS point of view, for a change...? |

Neil Wolfe is a singer. Most of his stuff is only available on LP. If you click this link: http://www.aarpmusic.com/item_31177.html , you can see a CD that he has music on. This site contains an LP with his music: http://www.bsnpubs.com/imperial/imperiali.html . You can find a lot more of Neil Wolfe's album by clicking http://secure.vinylrecords.co.uk/cgi-bin/search.cgi . He did lots of piano music, which is available here: http://www.worldwidewax.com/hrecs/t2/t213.htm . More is available at http://www.bsnpubs.com/imperial/imperiale.html . He appears on eBay.com, too. |

Well...these are more responses than i had anticipated, but none of these really ring a bell at all. It must be some really obscure name in some old videogame or movie or something that is long forgotten by everyone but me. Maybe someday i will find the answer..? |
