Yes, the articles do mention four other children being shot and injured.

From the article "Teen Slain, 4 Wounded on Church Steps," by Philip
Franchine. Chicago Sun - Times. Apr 3, 1994. pg. 4 :

"Two 13-year-old boys were in stable condition in the emergency room
at Children's Memorial Hospital, a spokeswoman said. And two
15-year-old boys were treated at St. Mary of Nazareth Hospital Center
and released, a spokeswoman said."


I'm a 100% sure that this is the incident that you want.  There is no
doubt about that.

(1) It's in Chicago.
(2) It's the Easter vigil mass, 1994.
(3) The shooting is on the steps of the church will parishioners are
inside praying.
(4) One is killed and four are wounded.

There can't be two incidents like that.

Very good answer - only thing better would have been to find a free
source of the information (as opposed to LexisNexis).
