A politician made the following comment in May 1994: "Just a few weeks ago, on Easter, within a stone's throw of my own home in Chicago, a young man was murdered on the steps of a church while a thousand parishioners were inside praying. In the parking lot, two more young men were shot, and in the other parking lot, two children were shot and injured." Based upon the above comment, can you find news coverage of an event that meets this description? |

Hello. The politician was referring to the murder of Letwan Redmond on the steps of the Holy Trinity Polish Mission, 1118 N. Noble, Chicago, on April 2, 1994 while an Easter vigil mass was going on inside. You can retrieve articles about this from Lexis-Nexis if you need them: (1) Go to this Lexis-Nexis page: https://web.lexis.com/LNE/ServiceSelection_en.asp (2) Select the $2.50 per document rate. Click on "continue" to bring up the search page. (3) In the "search terms" box, enter: letwan redmond (4) Press the "search" button. (5) 9 results will be listed. ------- search strategy: easter 1994 "april 3, 1994" easter I used a library newspaper database to search for articles about church shootings in Chicago in April 1994. I hope this helps. | |

rated this answer:![]() Very good answer - only thing better would have been to find a free source of the information (as opposed to LexisNexis). |
