Containerized shipping is increasing at a rapid rate worldwide. Air
cargo space availablity is dropping dramatically. Rail shipping is
creating congestion at railyards throughout the US. Truck traffic has
been increasing dramatically. How much more will container, air cargo
and rail shipment increase over the next 20 years? Truck traffic has
been on a dramatic rise. What are the expected needs with respect to
container facilities, rail trackage or routes, air fields, trucking,
truck manufacture, shipment/storage of empty sea containers, dedicated
truck lanes on interstates, intermodal rail yards, etc? |

Hello powhatan -
Thank you for your question.
Are you looking for each one of these items -- "container facilities,
rail trackage or routes, air fields, trucking, truck manufacture,
shipment/storage of empty sea containers, dedicated truck lanes on
interstates, intermodal rail yards, etc." -- to be explicitly
addressed in your answer, or are these just examples?
Thanks,
