I have the problem that despite larger efforts, I cannot find who
originally described that muscle becomes infiltrated with fat or fatty
degenerated after denervation. There are even papers from the eighties
which say that there is no fatty infiltration, however, many articles
do describe fat in muscle after denervation.

But who originally described this??
